“Well-” started the other, before apothecary cut him off “What do we do with ‘er?” asked the one holding Apothecary, flinching back a bit as she tried to kick them. Apothecary kicked and flailed, but did nothing to the mantis who was holding her. Apothecary tried to make a break for it but one of the mantids grabbed the back of her cloke, lifting her strait of the ground. One called out two the two-faced mantid, while the other rushed at Apothecary. Two other mantids appeared, and, much to apothecary’s dismay, noticed her. They were stuck together at an angle so that the strange mantid had three horns instead of the usual two, along with four eyes.Īpothecary then noticed something else, the strange mantid was not the only one. They bore a striking resemblance to a mantis lord, with long upward curving horns, but there was one feature that stood out most predominantly, the mantis had two faces. From apothecary’s bush hideout, she could see the young mantid looking around. But not before the mantid could get a glance of her. Apothecary was gathering herbs when she had spotted one of his minions, and she had ducked into the bush. The minions always seemed fearful, Apothecary figured he scared them just as much as he scared her.Īnd that was exactly what was happening now.
Apothecary had seen his minions running about, most of them where mantids, all had a noticeable deformity or mutation, they also always wore the same mask.
He was a terrible monster, who kidnapped bugs and did radiance-knows what to them. But, most of the time apothecary did her job. Apothecary herself practised medicine, and was the most legitimate doctor in a 10-mile radius, by the fact that she knew what she was doing, even when it entitled giving some pour bug laxatives because he had shouted at her last week. He wasn’t openly aggressive, most of the time. Fairly normal as far as vessels go, but there were a few odd things, 1, Apothecary chose to worship the Grimm Troup, unlike most vessels, and 2, Guardian was infected. She lived in a small hut with a large adult vessel, guardian. As the mantid scanned the area, she knew they had caught a glimpse of her, and now they knew, he knew, where she was.Īpothecary was an average first-cocoon vessel, or so she liked to think. **Īpothecary crouched under a bush, hopeing that luck would be in her favour.
Also, this fanfiction uses the metamorphosis headcanon, so when a vessel is called ‘first cocoon’ that means teen, and ‘second cocoon’ means adult. I recommend a basic understanding of Hollow Knight’s plot up to the Grimm Troup DLC to know what’s happening.
